i will make this into prose when i'm not feeling lazy.* born to a military family on earth. quiet, bookish, exhibited few prosocial behaviors and preferred to be alone. these behaviors were only cultivated in hudson rather than corrected in hopes of creating the "perfect soldier": detached, apathetic, and remorseless.
* neurologically experimented on by the us military as a teenager. resulted in physical (trauma to the amygdala) and psychological (further enforcing lack of prosocial behavior) damage.
-> recom brain lacks the physical trauma but the psychological damage persisted.
-> the rda still has copies of his brain scans and experiment reports.
* recruited into a spec ops division of the rda intelligence division in his 20s. specialized in psychological manipulation, interrogation, and "wet work."
* despite his off-putting demeanor, had a reputation for being efficient, coldly persuasive, and uncannily insightful. his peers respected him because he got results, even if he unnerved the shit out of them. always knew what made people tick… or snap.
* killed in action during a classified sabotage mission deep in pandora’s jungle. revived years later in a na'vi recombinant body; taller, stronger, harder to kill. memories intact. morality still absent.
* where other recoms struggled with identity and history, hudson adapted surprisingly well. no real effort or desire to reconnect with humanity. viewed himself not as human or even as na'vi, but something better.
* only mimics social cues when he needs to manipulate someone. otherwise, he’s blunt, invasive, or eerily silent. stares too long, smiles too late, as if he's waiting for your skin to peel off so he can see what you're really made of.
